best restaurants in paris

Every time I travel to a city, I wish someone could just hand me out a list of the best restaurants to have brunch at or dinner at. So here is my list of favourite locations in Paris…maybe it can help you find the place you’ve been looking for?

If you couldn’t imagine brunch without eggs, salmon, a side of avocado, eggs Benedict, freshly squeezed juices or a soy cappuccino… I think these spots should meet your expectations in a way or another.

  • Terrass hotel
  • La favorite (rue Rivoli)
  • Claus
  • Lockwood
  • Le Loulou
  • Ellsworth
  • Les bonnes soeurs
  • The hardware société
  • Season (in le marais)
  • Republique of coffee
  • Holybelly
  • Marcelle (near the metro etienne marcel)
  • Twinkie breakfast
  • Café Madam
  • Hoxton (for the atmosphere, not so much for the food)
  • Peninsula hotel
  • T’ cup
  • Hotel Amour

Trendy restaurants

If you are in the lookout for a trendy restaurant with an eclectic vibe, I would recommend the following ones below (careful though, they are all a bit pricey so make sure you check out their menu first before going there):

  • Miss Ko
  • Manko
  • Kinugawa
  • Pershing Hall
  • Speakeasy
  • Alcazar
  • Matignon
  • Edern
  • NoLita
  • Monsieur Bleu
  • Victoria (which is the restaurant of the famous nightclub ‘L’arc’)
  • Kong
  • L’avenue
  • Hotel Coste
  • Hotel National des arts et métiers

Other restaurants I have tried and liked a lot:

  • Les tantes Jeanne (one of the only places where you can have Kobe beef in Paris)
  • Café de l’homme (great food but terrible customer service)
  • L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon
  • Jules Vernes (at the top of the Eiffel Tower)
  • Ginza Onodera: probably the best sushi place I’ve been to in my whole life. They only have a couple of seats though (approx 15) so you should obviously try to book in advance.
  • Le derrière (in le marais)
  • Les grands verres (palais de Tokyo)
  • Les ombres
  • Lazare
  • Le Ciel de Paris

Restaurants with a view:

  • Le Ciel de Paris (at the top of the Montparnasse Tower)
  • Les grand verres (you can see the Eiffel Tower from 2 tables only)
  • Kong
  • Terrass hotel
  • L’oiseau Blanc
  • Les ombres
  • Monsieur Bleu
  • Jules Vernes
